Tambour is an online store offering high quality, locally printed posters and art prints in Oslo.
As the designer and art director I focused on creating an identity and a visual universe that was letting the art prints be the focal point. The color palette is simple and made out of black, white, beige and yellow. The ambition was to create a logo that is timeless and elegant, able to represent a wide spectrum of art genres and the different art print collections.
NAVIGATION FLOW SKETCHES!
It was important to create an online store that was easy to use, clean and functional.
The challenge was to offer a wide selection of art prints with different sizes at different prices without interrupting the user flow and navigation.
Part of the project was to avoid cluttering the pages with misplaced and unsollicited information.
As a solution I made sure that the user could browse the different collections with a range of prices for each print as the primary information, and when a design is selected, the customer can then choose to display the desired information, for example the different formats.
The information sections are created as clickable dropdown panels, which again help decluttering the page. If the user skips the format selection step before adding to cart, he or she will then be redirected to the format section area which will automatically dropdown.
